Policy on Admission/Enrollment for Certified Nurse Aide Training Program

Prospective Students:
Must be 18 years or older

¶  GED or HSD

¶  Must have valid Texas Driver’s License

¶  Must have Social Security Number

¶  Those who have completed 8th grade will be considered

¶  Transcript to show completion will be required

NOTE: Aptitude Test (Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam) will be offered to those who do not have a GED or HSD. Must obtain a score of 75% in aptitude test to qualify for admission.

Policy on Admission/Enrollment for Vocational Nursing

General Enrollment is open to men and women who are 18 years of age or older. The school does not discriminate against any person (over the age of 18) due to age, race, color, national origin, sex, religion or disability who is capable of meeting the objectives and outcomes of the program.

The following basic pre-requisites and steps apply:

·         US Citizenship or permanent residency verification

·         Valid Texas Driver's License

·         Proof of registration with Selective Service for male applicants only:

·         Must have Social Security Number

·         Verification of the required level of pre-vocational education (GED or HSD)

·         General Application for Admission

·         Pre-admission testing

·         Completion of Vocational Nursing Program Application:

·         Background Checks Procedure

·         Nursing Interview

·         Final Applicant Selection
